          Major General Chatichai Junhavan was appointed Prime Minister, by Royal Decree of King Rama IX, on August 4, 1988, and he, in turn, on August 9, 1988, appointed the Cabinet, whose names are shown below.

This Cabinet undertook these changes:

On December 29, 1989

1. Mr. Chuan Leekpai was switched from Minister of Public Health to Deputy Prime Minister, substituting Mr. Bhichai Rattakul, who resigned from the position.
2. Mr. Marut Bunnag was appointed Minister of Public Health.

On January 4, 1990, Mr. Meechai Ruchupan resigned from Minister to the Office of the Prime Minister.

On January 9, 1990, there were modifications to the Cabinet, as followed:

1. Mr. Banharn Silpa-Archa was appointed Minister of Interior, substituting Police General Pramarn Adireksarn.
2. Police General Pramarn Adireksarn was appointed Minister of Industry, substituting Mr. Banharn Silpa-Archa .

On March 30, 1990, General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, who resigned from the position.

On June 21, 1990, General Chatichai Junhavan, was appointed Minister of Defense, substituting General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, who resigned from the position.

On August 15, 1990, Mr. Sunti Chaiviratana was removed from Deputy Minister of Interior.

On August 25, 1990, Mr. Pinya Chouyplod was removed from Deputy Minister of Commerce.

On August 26, 1990, the Cabinet was reshuffled, as followed:

          1. Police Captain Chalerm Ubumrung was switched Minister to the Office of the Prime Minister to Deputy Minister of Education.
          2. Mr. Prachuab Chaiyasan was switched from Minister of Science, Technology and Energy to Minister of Public Health, substituting Marut Bunnag, who resigned from the position.
          3. Mr. Charoen Kanthawongs was switched from Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives to Minister of Science,           Technology and Energy.
          4. Mr. Sora-at Klinpratoom was switched from Deputy Minister of Education to Minister to the Office of the Prime Minister.
          5. Mr. Sutasn Ngenmune was switched from Deputy Minister of Public Health to Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives.
          6. Mr. Anek Tubsuwan was switched from Deputy Minister of Public Health.


Remark: This Cabinet left office when the Prime Minister resigned from the position.
