Policy Statement of 
The Council of Ministers
of Prime Minister Tawee Punyaketu
Delivered to Parliament
on Saturday, 1 September 1945


 

 

Policy Announcement*

Mr. President,
Distinguished Members,

Persuant to His Majesty the King's gracious appointment of myself as Prime Minister, per Royal Command dated 31 August 1945 and the subsequent appointment of the Council of Ministers, per Royal Command dated 1 September 1945. The Council of Ministers has now formulated the formal policies to present, in brief, to the Parliament, as to allow the sufficient time to negotiate peace with the United Nations, as follows:

1.
The government shall work, in the name of the king, and administer the state affairs, according to the Constitution.
2. The government shall follow the Royal Command of Peace Declaration of 16 August 1945.
3.

Foreign Affairs: The government shall cooperate with the United Nations, under all circumstances, intend to enhance the relations, and collaborate with the United Nations, as to establish the global stability, in respect of the United Nation Charter of San Francisco.

In this respect, the government vows to achieve the greatest national benefits, with the least impact.

4. State Administration: Naturally, the crimes and delinquences are more prevalent, in times of war. The government shall suppress and resolve the problems, and resettle the national security, according to Code 50 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand.
